Blade steel — X12MF: This knife is made of forged tool steel X12MF, which has the highest hardness (61-62 HRC). Such steel is famous for its outstanding wear resistance, retains the sharpness of the cutting edge for a long time and has excellent resistance to mechanical influences. Thanks to the alloying with molybdenum and vanadium, the X12MF confidently withstands active cutting on hard materials, is resistant to chipping and mechanical damage. However, it is worth bearing in mind: steel X12MF is not completely stainless — it requires maintenance, especially when used in conditions of high humidity or in contact with aggressive environments. After use, it is recommended to wipe the blade dry and periodically apply protective oil.

The shape of the blade is Yakut: The knife is made in a unique Yakut shape with a dale. This geometry has historically proven itself for universal use in the North: the chisel makes the blade easier, increases rigidity, and helps to remove sticking materials during cutting. The Yakut sharpening with a one-sided chamfer and a slight bevel on the butt is ideal for planing, cleaning fish, skinning, woodwork and products. This knife is easy to use with both precision and power cutting, it does an excellent job with cutting and cutting "on itself". Due to its shape, the blade is especially effective for cutting and household chores in hiking, hunting or domestic conditions.

Handle — Karelian birch:The handle is made of solid stabilized Karelian birch, a material known from the northern fisheries of Russia. This handle is not only aesthetically distinguished by its rich natural texture, but also provides a tenacious grip, even in humid conditions (rain, snow, frost). Karelian birch is warmer to the touch than synthetic or metal, non-slip in the hand, resistant to cracks with proper care. The optimal length of 135 mm allows you to comfortably hold the knife in any palm, making it easier to work for a long time without fatigue.

Sheath — Leather: The natural leather shell reliably protects the blade from damage and the user from cuts. The leather is durable, comfortable to wear on the belt, resistant to abrasion.

Advantages and limitations
- Advantages:
      - High hardness and wear resistance of the blade (X12MF — 61-62 HRC).
- Long service life of the cutting edge, little need for sharpening.
- Comfortable and tenacious handle made of Karelian birch, excellent ergonomics for working even with gloves. Easy maintenance — regular cleaning and minimal maintenance are enough.
- Aesthetics and uniqueness of each product, thanks to the natural texture of wood and hand-made.
- The historical form (Yakut), confirmed by centuries of practice of the northern peoples.

- Limitations:
      - X12MF steel requires mandatory maintenance — it is not suitable for prolonged contact with water or aggressive media without subsequent drying and lubrication. It is not intended for heavy power work, such as cutting large branches/logs — it is optimal for cutting, not for shock loads.
- It is not a specialized kitchen knife for filigree slicing (for example, fillets of fish or thin slices of vegetables).

Care recommendations
- Wipe the blade dry after use, especially after contact with moisture or food.
- Regularly apply a thin layer of oil (neutral or weapon grade) to the steel surface.
- The Karelian birch handle is recommended to be treated with natural wood oil or wax every few months to prevent drying and cracking.
- Keep the knife in a leather sheath in a dry place, avoiding moisture inside the sheath.
Brief recommendations: for whom and for what the knife is especially suitable
This knife is designed for those who appreciate the combination of northern traditions, high-quality materials and reliable handwork. It is ideal for hunters, fishermen, tourists and anyone who is looking for a versatile, durable knife for nature and agriculture. The collection will become a worthy example of an ethnographic and practical tool.
