The basis of this knife is a Damascus steel blade with an impressive hardness of 62 HRC — a combination of aesthetics, durability and exceptional wear resistance. Damascus steel is known not only for its legendary patterned pattern, but also for its increased resistance to blunting, which makes the knife an excellent choice for intensive work. With a blade thickness of 4 mm and a width of 35 mm, the knife perfectly copes with heavy loads, is not prone to breakage during lateral movements and breakage.
The handle is made of natural wenge wood, a premium material valued for its high density, durability and beautiful texture. Wenge does not slip even in wet conditions and is practically not susceptible to cracking or deformation over time. This choice of wood ensures comfortable and secure fixation of the knife in the hand, even during prolonged operation, as well as at low temperatures.
The wooden scabbard emphasizes the status of the product and protects the blade from external influences, while maintaining its sharpness.
The classic shape of the Tanto, a legacy of Japanese traditions, provides a powerful geometry of the tip, thanks to which the knife easily penetrates hard and dense materials. The pointed angle also provides excellent penetration and resistance to chipping during injections, making the knife indispensable for precision and strength work. At the same time, the wide blade facilitates control over the cut and confident retention of sharpness.
The length of the blade is 220 mm and a significant margin in width allows you to use the knife for processing large game, slicing solid foods, butchering, as well as as a reliable assistant in hiking and bushcraft.
Damascus steel is moderately resistant to corrosion, but for durability it is recommended to wipe the blade dry after contact with moisture and periodically lubricate with oil. Wenge is one of the most dense and moisture–resistant trees, it practically does not absorb moisture, does not warp or crack.
Sharpening Damascus steel requires precision, but due to its high hardness and dense grain, the knife retains its cutting properties for a long time and does not require frequent straightening. Wooden scabbards protect against mechanical damage and affect the overall service life of the tool.
