The blade is made of high-alloy tool steel X12MF with a hardness of 61-62 HRC. This material is famous for its excellent wear resistance, high cutting edge retention and load resistance, which is especially important for knives designed for long-term operation and intensive use. The blade's thickness of 2.4 mm and length of 143 mm ensure a balance between strength, manageability and convenience for most field and household tasks.
The handle is made of stabilized Karelian birch of natural brown color in combination with black hornbeam — these are not only durable and moisture-resistant materials, but also real works of art, characterized by a unique natural pattern and pleasant tactility. The stabilized wood is protected from moisture and temperature fluctuations, does not warp, does not crack and retains an attractive appearance even during active operation.
The shape of the Normal Blade is universal: the classic geometry with a straight line of the butt and an easy rise to the tip provides effective cutting control, convenience during cutting, slicing and auxiliary manipulations. The working width of the blade (30 mm) allows you to hold the knife with confidence during delicate operations and significantly increases safety.
X12MF steel is highly resistant to wear and retains its sharpness for a long time, which makes the knife an optimal companion for hunting, hiking, fishing, camping and various household tasks. Due to the stabilization, the handle does not absorb moisture, is resistant to fungus and is not susceptible to swelling, and the leather of the scabbard protects the blade well during transportation.
The handle is designed so that the knife lies confidently in the hand even when working with gloves or wet palms. The natural texture of Karelian birch provides additional grip, and the smoothness of hornbeam gives the product a premium look and a pleasant grip.
Despite the high hardness, sharpening the knife does not present serious difficulties.: It is recommended to use high-quality diamond or ceramic bars to restore the cutting edge. Blade care is limited to cleaning and drying after use; the handle does not require complex maintenance.
Restrictions: The knife is not designed for heavy chopping tasks (batoning large firewood, hacking), as well as for contact with hard mineral materials (stone, metal). It is not recommended for permanent use in marine environments (prolonged contact with salt water requires careful maintenance of the blade).
To preserve its excellent appearance and working properties, we recommend drying the blade after use, avoiding prolonged contact with moisture, especially salty. The handle does not require special care, but it is not superfluous to periodically wipe it with a soft cloth. Use diamond or ceramic bars for sharpening, and do not allow the blade to overheat on the sharpening machines.
A brief recommendation: This knife is an ideal choice for hunters, hikers, and handmade connoisseurs who value a combination of reliability, unique aesthetics, and practicality. For lovers of collectibles and gifts with a Boar character, it will also be a real find. We do not recommend using it for heavy strength tasks and contact with solid inorganic materials.
