X12MF blade steel is a high—quality tool steel known for its outstanding hardness (61-62 HRC) and high wear resistance. Due to chromium and molybdenum alloying, the X12MF steel provides excellent retention of the cutting edge: the knife retains its sharpness for a long time, even during intensive use. It is more resistant to corrosion than the average for tool steels, but requires basic maintenance to prevent the appearance of rust during prolonged contact with moisture
.

The material of the Bubinga handle is valuable and exquisite African wood, characterized by high density and natural resistance to moisture. The surface of the bubinga handle is smooth, but it provides a firm grip even in wet conditions, which is important for complex outdoor tasks. The bubinga does not slip in the hand and retains an attractive appearance for many years, emphasizing the aesthetics of the knife and the uniqueness of each handmade.

The shape of the blade is a Trailing point: the characteristic curved line of the butt and the raised tip make this blade optimal for thinning, precise cuts and skinning. The blade is 150 mm long and 3.2 mm thick, providing an excellent combination of maneuverability and strength, which allows you to perform complex work both in the kitchen and outdoors.

The genuine leather sheath reliably protects the blade during transportation, giving the overall ensemble of the knife an authentic, premium look.
Detailed analysis of the properties and features of the knife

Scope of application and optimal tasks
The knife's design and steel characteristics make this knife a true all-rounder for cooking, hunting, hiking and camping. It is especially suitable for:
-
Fish and meat thinning: Curved trailing point allows you to make precise, long cuts, easily separate fillets from bones.

- Game skinning operations: The thin and sharp tip makes it easier to handle the skin carefully.
- Outdoor cooking: slicing vegetables, bread, cutting food — the knife will prove itself at its best due to its high sharpness and control.
- Collectible use: natural materials and handmade make the product a source of pride for collectors.
Advantages and unique features
- Outstanding hardness and wear resistance: steel X12MF keeps sharpening longer even during frequent work on meat, fish and other products.
- Easy maintenance: steel is easy to sharpen with basic skills, but requires regular maintenance (dry wiping and oiling after contact with moisture).
- Secure grip: the bubinga handle does not slip even with a wet hand due to its dense texture and ergonomic shape.
- Aesthetics and individuality: Each knife is unique due to its natural wood pattern and hand-made assembly.
- Historical design: the shape of the knife is rooted in Uzbek traditions, preserving the spirit of Oriental craftsmanship.
Limitations and impractical tasks
- It is not recommended to use for chopping bones and frozen foods: there may be a risk of chipping due to the hardness of the steel.
- It is poorly suited for heavy impact work (batoning, opening cans, etc.) — the blade is focused on precise, smooth cuts.
- Requires minimal maintenance: after use, it is important to wipe dry and lubricate with oil periodically, especially during prolonged outdoor use.
Brief recommendations and conclusions
This knife is an ideal choice for hunters, fishermen, tourists and culinary experts who appreciate the combination of impeccable sharpness, control and aesthetics. Its high wear resistance makes it an indispensable companion in nature and at home. At the same time, collectors will appreciate the nobility of the bubinga tree and the handmade work of the master. It is not recommended to use it for heavy work on bones and rough scrap labor – it is better to choose specialized models here.
Care:Wipe the blade regularly after work, avoid prolonged contact with moisture, and store the knife in a leather sheath. Once every few weeks, treat the blade with neutral oil, and if necessary, the handle can be polished with a special wax for wood.
