Blade steel — X12MF with nickel
This knife maximizes its advantages in the kitchen — when cutting and slicing meat, fish, vegetables and fruits. It is perfect for hiking, picnics, hunting — as a versatile tool for cooking and milling. Due to the lightness and convenience of the birch bark handle, they are pleasant to work for a long time, even at high humidity.Actual analysis of characteristics and features

X12MF is a high—carbon tool steel with the addition of molybdenum and vanadium, characterized by outstanding wear resistance and hardness (61-62 HRC). Due to the addition of nickel, the steel acquires increased strength and becomes less prone to chipping. The X12MF demonstrates excellent sharpness, holds the cutting edge for an extremely long time and withstands significant loads without losing its sharpening, even with prolonged use. Steel is also known for its resistance to corrosion, but requires minimal maintenance (wiping off moisture, lubrication) to maintain shine and rust protection for a long time.

    Handle material is birch bark
The birch bark handle is a natural material with pronounced thermal insulation and hygroscopic properties. Even in cold weather, the knife does not slip and does not cool the palm. The handle fits perfectly in the hand, without causing fatigue even during prolonged use, and thanks to its light roughness, it provides a secure hold in wet and dirty conditions. The light shades of the handle (white, yellow) give the knife not only an attractive, but also an authentic appearance.

    Dimensions and ergonomics
The 150 mm long and 3 mm thick blade provides a balance between manageability and versatility of use. The 36 mm width allows you to work efficiently with products and perform precise cuts. The ergonomically designed 130 mm long handle fits most palms.

    Blade Shape — Trailing Point
The trailing point blade has a long cutting edge and a sharp tip, which makes the knife ideal for thinning meat, slicing fish, vegetables and fruits, as well as neat decorative cuts. This geometry is great for cooking, hunting, and picnics where precise and clean cutting is required.

    Scabbard — genuine leather
The classic leather scabbard reliably protects the blade, guarantees easy carrying and emphasizes the status of the handmade product.
Scope of application: appointments and optimal conditions

Its compact size and high durability make it attractive both for daily use and for collectors who appreciate the traditional Uzbek style and authenticity.
  Advantages and unique properties

Limitations and conditions when the knife is not optimal
- It is not suitable for heavy woodwork (batoning, cutting branches, opening cans) due to the thin blade and the geometry of the trailing point.
- If the tip is overloaded, there may be a risk of breakage — it is not recommended to use it as a picking tool or a screwdriver.
- Requires regular maintenance: although steel is resistant to corrosion, it is recommended to wipe and lubricate the blade after working with acids or moisture.
- The birch bark handle requires careful handling — do not leave it in the water for a long time or drop it on hard surfaces.
Recommendations: suitable for whom and tips on care
This knife is an ideal choice for connoisseurs of handmade, professional and home cooks, lovers of traditions, as well as for hunters and fans of picnics who appreciate ergonomics, reliability and authenticity.
It is not recommended for heavy field work and extreme tourism.
Care: After use, wipe the blade dry, periodically lubricate with a thin layer of oil. The birch bark handle can be treated with a special wax for natural wood. Do not store the knife in a humid environment and do not leave it in the sheath for a long time after wet work.
A brief final recommendation:If sharpness, cutting edge retention, ease of use and natural handmade aesthetics are important to you, this knife will become a real decoration of your collection and an indispensable assistant in the kitchen or on a camping trip.
