X12MF is a high—carbon alloy tool steel known for its outstanding wear resistance, hardness (61-62 HRC) and cutting edge stability. Such steel rarely requires frequent sharpening, even during intensive work, and due to its dense structure and high performance characteristics, it perfectly copes with cutting hard and abrasive materials.
However, X12MF is less resistant to corrosion than stainless steels: when in contact with moisture, especially aggressive (salt water, animal blood), it requires mandatory wiping and drying after use.
The handle is made of acrylic (white + black), decorated with gold elements and a red star insert, which adds not only a bright accent, but also a reference to the historical heritage of the legendary NKVD finks. Acrylic is a modern composite material that is resistant to moisture, does not absorb odors, is pleasant to the touch and does not slip even in a wet palm.
