Detailed analysis of properties and features
    Blade steel: X12MF
The blade is made of steel X12MF, one of the most respected Russian tool steels. It is a material known for its high hardness (61-62 HRC) and excellent wear resistance. Even with prolonged and intensive use, the blade slowly blunts and retains the sharpness of the cutting edge for a long time. X12MF has good corrosion resistance, but requires regular maintenance: steel contains an increased amount of carbon and chromium, so it is recommended to clean and wipe the knife dry after use, especially after contact with moisture or organic matter (meat, fish, plant juice).

Handle material: stabilized Karelian birch and black hornbeam
The handle is made of a combination of stabilized Karelian birch (green) and black hornbeam. Wood stabilization provides increased resistance to moisture, is not subject to warping, cracking or swelling, and the tactile qualities of natural wood remain at their best. The black hornbeam gives the handle extra strength and an exquisite appearance. This design is not only functional, but also aesthetic, and has a unique natural pattern.

    Blade Shape: Drop Point
The classic Drop Point shape is a universal solution for hunting knives. Due to the lowered butt line and smooth rise to the tip, the knife is excellent for skinning, butchering carcasses, working with meat and fish, as well as for cooking and hiking tasks. The width (32 mm) and length (120 mm) of the blade ensure precise control and ease of maneuvering.

    Ergonomics and hand grip
The handle length (125 mm) is optimal for a comfortable grip with both bare and gloved hands. The texture of the stabilized wood, coupled with the shape of the handle, ensures a secure grip even in wet conditions or when working with greasy surfaces.

    Durability and maintenance
The X12MF steel holds the sharpening perfectly, but it requires the right approach: it is better to use diamond or high-quality ceramic sharpeners, since steel is quite hard. Maintenance of the blade is simple — cleaning, drying, if necessary — applying a thin layer of oil. The handle does not require special care due to stabilization, however, to preserve the color and texture of natural wood, it is recommended to periodically wipe it with special wood products.

Optimal tasks and applications
- Ideal for hunting: skinning, butchering, primary processing of meat and fish.
- An excellent companion for fishing and tourism: it is useful for cooking, working with wood and other household tasks.
- Due to the aesthetics of the handle and the quality of the workmanship, the knife is interesting to collectors who appreciate handmade and rare materials.
Limitations and possible disadvantages
- It is not recommended for heavy construction or strength tasks (batoning, bone splitting, metal work) — fine cutting and hardness are designed for cutting, not for impact loads.
- Requires regular maintenance to prevent blade corrosion.
- It may be difficult to sharpen for beginners due to the high hardness of the steel.
Unique features and advantages
- High-strength steel with excellent cutting edge retention.
- The handle is made of stabilized Karelian birch and black hornbeam — a combination of aesthetics, reliability and moisture resistance.
- The classic shape of the Drop Point provides versatility, both in hunting and in everyday life.
- Each knife is unique due to its handmade and natural wood pattern.
Recommendations: for whom a knife would be an ideal choice
This knife is an excellent choice for hunters, fishermen, tourists, as well as collectors who appreciate practicality and aesthetics. It is especially important for those who prefer a blade that is as sharp as possible and does not blunt for a long time, loves natural materials and an individual style. It is not suitable for those who need a working tool for heavy installation tasks or quick trouble-free maintenance in harsh conditions. Optimal care is regular cleaning and drying of the blade, periodic treatment of the handle with wood products.
