The blade is made of Damascus steel with a hardness of 62 HRC, which guarantees exceptional sharpness, long service life of the cutting edge and excellent wear resistance even under heavy use. Damascus steel has historically been known for its unique pattern and high strength due to its multi-layered structure. The blade is 3.5 mm thick, 148 mm long, and 32 mm wide: these parameters ensure a balance between penetration and control over every movement.
The handle is a combination of stabilized Karelian birch and black hornbeam. Wood stabilization protects the handle from moisture, rot and cracking. Karelian birch gives a recognizable texture and rich green hue, while black hornbeam adds strength, elegance and a pleasant tactile temperature. The guard provides additional hand protection when working.
A leather scabbard is included, providing safe and convenient storage and transportation.
The handle length of 130 mm and its anatomical shape make the knife convenient for prolonged use both with a glove and with a bare hand. The stabilized wood does not absorb moisture, does not slip and retains its appearance even with daily use. The guard prevents the hand from slipping onto the blade, increasing safety when cutting and pricking.
Due to the high—quality Damascus steel and stabilized wood, the knife resists moisture and seasonal temperature changes well, however, Damascus steel requires regular maintenance - it is recommended to wipe the blade dry after work and periodically apply protective oil. It is also advisable to periodically treat the leather sheath with a skin cream.
