The knife is based on a blade made of tool steel X12MF, one of the best Russian materials for cutting tools. The X12MF steel is renowned for its outstanding hardness of 61-62 HRC, which guarantees long-term cutting edge sharpness and a high service life even under intense loads. Due to its high chromium and molybdenum content, the blade has good corrosion resistance, which makes the knife suitable not only for dry conditions, but also for outdoor use, fishing or hunting.
The blade thickness of 3.5 mm and the compact length of 82 mm ensure reliable cutting stability and a sufficient margin of safety for small household needs: planing pieces of wood, cutting a small trophy, preparing food, opening packages. Full descents from the butt create excellent cutting properties — the knife literally "digs" into the material, facilitating the processing of products, wood or fabrics.
The Karelian birch handle is not only aesthetically attractive due to its unique texture and rich brown hue, but also extremely practical. This natural material feels good in your hand and does not slip even with wet palms: you are always in control of the tool. The handle length of 113 mm is optimal for most palms, providing a secure grip and ergonomics during long-term operation. Karelian birch is a material with good density and resistance to moisture, however, for maximum durability, it is recommended to periodically treat the handle with wax or oil.
This knife is an ideal companion for hiking, hunting, fishing, picnics and daily household tasks. Thanks to its compact dimensions and reliable steel, it is perfect for cutting small products, small woodwork, package opening, and precision work requiring control and sharp cutting. The leather sheath ensures safe and comfortable carrying.

Optimal applications and limitations
Knife care: easy maintenance and durability
Steel X12MF demonstrates excellent wear resistance — the knife remains sharp for a long time, without requiring frequent sharpening. To restore the cutting qualities, it is enough to use fine-grained stone or ceramic musate. The blade is resistant to corrosion, however, after working in wet conditions, it is recommended to wipe it dry and periodically lubricate it with light oil. The Karelian birch handle can be protected with natural wax or special oil to emphasize the wood structure and enhance moisture resistance.
Short recommendations and conclusions
This knife is designed for connoisseurs of handmade work, lovers of hiking, fishing, hunting and anyone who is looking for a unique functional tool for daily tasks. It is ideal for precise and light work where control, compactness and flawless cutting are required. It will also look great in a private collection thanks to natural materials and original designs.
It is not recommended to use a knife for rough power work and work with particularly hard materials — its potential is revealed in neat, filigree work and in the hands of those who appreciate craft and aesthetics.
