Accurate analysis of characteristics and features
S390 high–speed powder steel is one of the most advanced and wear-resistant steels on the market. Extremely high hardness (70 HRC) guarantees exceptional blunt resistance, excellent cutting ability and long service life. Due to its high content of tungsten, vanadium and cobalt, the S390 demonstrates impressive wear resistance and cutting stability even under prolonged loads. At the same time, it is worth noting that such hardness requires careful handling: it is not recommended to use on hard bones or work with high lateral loads to avoid chipping.
Although S390 has good corrosion resistance for high-speed steels, it is still inferior to classic stainless steels. The blade requires timely care: wiping dry after work, using a light lubricant during long-term storage. Special attention is recommended in conditions of high humidity or in contact with aggressive media.
Due to the ultra—high hardness of the S390, it is difficult to sharpen with conventional sharpening tools - a diamond or ceramic tool will be required for high-quality maintenance. However, the need for sharpening rarely arises: the cutting edge retains its sharpness for a long time, even with intensive use.
Acrylic is highly resistant to moisture, does not absorb odors, is resistant to most aggressive media and is not afraid of temperature fluctuations. It is easy to clean, does not warp and retains its aesthetic appearance for many years.
